Lehigh Valley Location
Located just 60 miles north of Philadelphia and 70 miles west of New York City, Lehigh Valley is named for the Lehigh River, which runs through this beautiful area of the Great Appalachian Valley. Set along the eastern edge of the Appalachian Mountains, the region – truly a valley – is found between Blue Mountain and South Mountain, making it a gorgeous place to call home. Lehigh Valley offers the convenience and feel of small-town living, but is located within 300 miles of every large, metropolitan area of the eastern United States!

Lehigh Valley History
Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton make up the historic region of Lehigh Valley, first settled in the 1730s by Pennsylvania statesmen and members of the Moravian Church. Many original buildings from the 1700s and 1800s still stand in these cities. The Valley is also considered part of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, which has its roots in eastern PA where German-speaking immigrants settled in the late 17th century.
